Jessica O'Neal - Sports Performance Trainer
Jessica O'Neal enters her first season with In The Net as Sports Performance Trainer. Prior to joining In The Net she worked as a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Massage Therapist and Corrective Exercise Specialist for high school, college, semi-professional and US Olympic Teams. Jessica spent 2 years as the USA Field Hockey - Men's and Women's National Team Medical Manager, 4 years part of the US Sports Medicine Staff having spent time with USA Men's and Women's Bobsled ans Skeleton Teams and Pa-Olympic Soccer Teams. The bulk of her career was spend with high school/middle school athletes as their Licensed Athletic Trainer. She received her Bachelors in Athletic Training at Millersville University/West Chester University, Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise Specialist Certificiations through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In 2004 she became Certified Massage Therapist through Baltimore School of Massage and completed her Masters in Rehabilitative Science at California University of PA in 2010/2011. Jess resides in the Cornwall Lebanon School District with husband Steve and 10 year old son Kade.
Jeff Evans - 13U & 15/16U
Jeff joins the Renegades after more than 25 years of High School coaching experience in three states, leading Wilmington Christian Academy to a North Carolina 2A State Championship. While coaching in PA he had two teams ranked nationally in Baseball America, won five conference championships, one district championship, and advanced two teams to the elite eight of the state Championships. During this time he had 10 players drafted into professional baseball and helped many others get recruited to play collegiately. From 2016 to 2022 Jeff coached collegiate baseball and was Head Coach of the Quakertown Blaze in 2021 and 2022, a team in an MLB sponsored College Summer League.
Brenton Bender - 11U Blue
Coach Brenton Bender is entering his fourth season as a Central Penn Renegades Head Coach as he will be at the helm of the 10u and 18u teams for the 2024-25 season. The 2024-25 season will be Coach Bender’s 13th year of coaching as he has coached all age groups and levels since 2012. Last season, Coach Bender’s Little League team won its second consecutive rec league championship while Coach Bender earned the opportunity to coach the Northern Lebanon Little League 10u All-Star Team.
Prior to coaching travel and rec baseball, Coach Bender graduated from Temple University with a degree in Sport & Recreation Management and worked in the front offices of the Harrisburg Senators and Philadelphia Eagles. After that, Coach Bender joined In The Net Baseball & Softball Academy as a Program Director, where he combined his love for teaching the game of baseball and building relationships into coaching the Renegades.
In his spare time, Coach Bender is a sports and travel fanatic. He has been to 16 of 30 MLB ballparks along with several NFL and college stadiums. Coach Bender, his wife Tasha, and their four children are outdoor enthusiasts and have been to 48 out of 50 states, and over half of the National Parks in the United States.
Travis Eckert - 12U
Coach Eckert is entering his 9th year coaching in the Renegades program. He currently has nine graduates of the program playing collegiately. Travis played three years at Northampton Community College from 1995 - 1997, where he played catcher and third base. He extended his playing career after college playing six years of Lancaser County Twilight play, 1995 - 2000. He had been a volunteer coach and contributor to Palmyra Civic Baseball for more then 10 years, mentoring both players and coaches. In addition to coaching, Travis is also an instructor at ITN Academy, providing one on one lessons.
Jim Duquette - Baseball Ambassador
Coach Duquette has worked in Major League baseball front offices for 20 years and is the former General Manager of the New York Mets, and Baltimore Orioles. He was a standout player at Williams College in New York. Jim is currently a baseball analyst with Major League baseball and prominent host of MLB Network Radio on Serious XM. Jim joined In The Net and the Central Penn Renegades in 2023 as Baseball Ambassador.
